NJ Plastic Surgeon Presents on Fat Transfer Using the HyrdaSolve Lipoplasty System at IFATS San Diego 2016
Christopher P. Godek, MD recently lectured at IFATS San Diego 2016 about the higher success rate of fat transfer when fat tissues are harvested via the HydraSolve Lipoplasty System.
Toms River, NJ — Dr. Christopher P. Godek, a board-certified plastic surgeon in Monmouth County, NJ, was invited to be an expert speaker at IFATS San Diego 2016. Hosted by the International Federation for Adipose Therapeutics and Science (IFATS), the conference took place in San Diego, CA from November 17th–20th and brought together leading minds dedicated to the science of fat grafting.
On Saturday morning of the four-day meeting, Dr. Godek took the stage to present the paper, “Autologous Fat Transfer Utilizing Tissue Liquefaction Technology: Safety, Efficacy and Long-Term Results.” During his presentation, he revealed how employing tissue liquefaction technology like the HydraSolve™ Lipoplasty System can not only help improve the fat removal and harvesting process, but it can also significantly enhance the long-term survival rate of fat cells once they have been transferred to a different region of the body. In his own words:
“We found the TLT method of fat harvest to be safe and effective. Long-term survival of the graft was excellent, with patients retaining 70% or more of the transferred fat and favorable improvements apparent in both the donor and recipient sites. The technology allows us to perform autologous fat transfer atraumatically to maintain adipocyte viability and optimize long-term fat survival.”
Dr. Godek is co-creator of the HydraSolve™ Lipoplasty System, which is designed to liquefy fat tissue using a warm, energized saline solution prior to its extraction. According to the New Jersey plastic surgeon, this liquefaction allows for a safer, more comfortable and efficient removal of fat from a targeted area.
