New Jersey Plastic Surgeon Christopher Godek, MD Takes “Top Doctor” Honors in Multiple Publications

Toms River, NJ – Dr. Christopher Godek, a board-certified plastic surgeon in New Jersey and the Medical Director of the Personal Enhancement Center and Belladerma Medspa, has been named a Top Doctor of 2021 in multiple popular publications. Dr. Godek was selected as a Top Doctor in New Jersey Monthly magazine’s annual “Jersey Choice” list for the 10th consecutive year, and he has made the prestigious list of Castle Connolly Top Doctors® for the 15th time. The Castle Connolly recognition was published in Jersey’s Best magazine.
To make the list of Jersey Choice Top Doctors, nominees are submitted by their peers in the medical field through a questionnaire sent to thousands of doctors across the state. The independent survey asks them to name which of their fellow practitioners they believe to be one of the best doctors in New Jersey—a doctor for whom they would choose to treat members of their own family. Doctors could vote by mailing back the completed questionnaire or via an online questionnaire, and a system is in place that is designed to ensure there is no duplicate voting. When the votes are received, validated, and tallied, doctors who have enough votes are placed on a preliminary list and reviewed to ensure they are practitioners in good standing. Then, the list undergoes another professional review process by an advisory board composed of several doctors, who then help determine the final selections. Doctors cannot “buy a spot” for placement on the Top Doctors list.
For the Castle Connolly Top Doctors® selections that are listed in a recent issue of Jersey’s Best, the winners are also recognized as the result of a voting process conducted among their colleagues in the medical field. Castle Connolly Medical Ltd. is a healthcare and information research company that has been publishing its annual list of Top Doctors® for decades. It is designed to serve as a tool for consumers to find top doctors and hospitals in their geographic area. Castle Connolly sends out a survey each year that reaches thousands of doctors across the country, asking them to nominate one of their peers in particular medical specialties to be selected as a Top Doctor®. The process employs a number of mechanisms to ensure the validity and integrity of the votes, and doctors cannot nominate themselves. Then, physician-led research teams review the submissions and evaluate the candidates based on their credentials, education, experience, professional achievements, and many other factors before the final selections are made and approved.
