Co-Inventor of HydraSolve™ Reveals All About the Liposuction Alternative

Dr. Christopher Godek, a co-inventor of the HydraSolve^™ Lipoplasty System, details advantages the revolutionary fat reduction technique has over popular alternatives.

Toms River, NJ — “Approved by the Federal Drug Administration (FDA), HydraSolve^™ is a saline water-based technology designed to liquefy and extract fat from the body in a gentler manner than traditional liposuction and other surgical fat removal techniques,” states a recent blog post on the website of New Jersey plastic surgeon Christopher Godek, MD. According to the entry – titled, Benefits of Fat Reduction with HydraSolve^™ – Dr. Godek is one of the inventors and patent holders of the HydraSolve^™ Lipoplasty System, which pulsates heated water from the side of a rounded cannula to dissolve fat cells.

Some key benefits of the innovative fat reduction technique highlighted in the blog post include:

• A smaller tissue extraction incision
• A greater degree of treatment accuracy and fat cell selection
• Less harm induced upon peripheral tissues, blood vessels, and nerves
• A potential reduction in downtime, discomfort, swelling, and bruising
• Its ability to be used for fat removal on several areas of the body
• Its FDA approval for fat harvesting prior to fat transfer

As referenced in HydraSolve^™ Vs. Traditional, Ultrasonic, & Body-Jet Liposuction – another recent blog post on Dr. Godek’s site – HydraSolve^™ has a number of distinctions when compared to other liposuction variations, each with its own advantage:

• The cannula used for traditional liposuction has sharp edges intended to break up fat cells, while the HydraSolve^™ cannula has dull, rounded edges intended to minimize trauma to surrounding tissues.
• Random ultrasound energy waves sometimes emitted by ultrasonic liposuction techniques can potentially affect nearby tissues. For HydraSolve^™, water pressure and temperature can both be controlled to selectively target only fat cells.
• Water used for body-jet liposuction procedures is unheated and projected from the tip of the cannula, whereas water used for HydraSolve^™ is heated and pulsed from the side of the cannula. Due to its inability to liquefy the fat, the former technique requires a sharp cannula to remove fat, while the latter does not.

Ultimately, Dr. Godek’s blog post concedes all four liposuction techniques can be effective; however, he maintains the HydraSolve^™ Lipoplasty System is “the most selective and most gentle way of performing liposuction.”
