As a plastic surgeon here at the Jersey Shore, I tend to see a lot of sun damage and aging issues resulting from predominantly outdoor lifestyles. Most people stay very active and in relatively good shape as part of the Shore community, but the effects of long-term sun exposure ultimately take their toll on prominent areas of the body, such as the face.
Some common cosmetic concerns I hear from my patients include:
Additionally, several patients mention they’re often told they look tired when, in fact, they don’t feel tired at all, and others seem to think they look a lot older than they truly feel.
If you are experiencing any of these issues, facial plastic surgery can often be an excellent solution to diminish or correct your concerns. At the Personal Enhancement Center, we offer eyelid lift, facelift, brow lift, laser resurfacing, and a variety of other skin care treatments that can be performed singularly or in combination with one another to help counter the effects of sun damage and aging.
During your consultation, I’ll conduct a full assessment of your facial region starting from the top of your head and progressing all the way down to the bottom of your neck. Throughout this exam, I’ll be looking at all aspects of aging, including skin quality, drooping and sagging, facial imbalances, and loss of volume in the cheeks and/or other areas of the face. This thorough evaluation will help me determine the proper course of action for your unique needs.
As detailed in “Our Comprehensive Approach to Plastic Surgery: Part III,” your cosmetic facial treatment will also be coupled with a skin care program designed to enhance your results and facilitate your recovery. Following your surgery, you can expect to stay at home and take it easy for a about week. At week two, you’ll typically be able to put some makeup on and get back in public, and by week three you should be back in the groove without a need for makeup should you choose not to wear any. By about four to six weeks, you’ll most likely be ready to be in photographs, weddings, special events, etc.
If you think you might be interested in facial plastic surgery, please don’t hesitate to contact the Personal Enhancement Center today. My experienced staff and I will be happy to assist you in any way we can.
